ATTN: REV x2
about ten years ago, i bought a cassette on ebay labeled, "Sheer Terror Lindenhurst Demo, 3 songs". the listing included no real description, so i
didn't know what i was getting.
imagine my surprise upon listening for the first time.
what can you tell me about these tracks? when were they recorded? where they meant for a release or just a personal project? who played with you on
the recordings? do you want a copy (i dunno... in case, for some reason, you don't already)?
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

WOW....
I DON'T EVEN HAVE THAT,ANYMORE...
THAT WAS MT AND MY BESTEST/OLDEST FRIEND,JOSH,IN HIS APARTMENT...
I WAS BREAKING UP/BROKEN UP/FAILED WITH MY "FIANCE'E" AT THE TIME...
IT'S RECORDED ON 4 TRACK CASSETTE...JOSH PLAYS GUITAR AND BASS ONE ONE OR TWO OF THE CUTS...I "PLAY" BASS/GUITAR/DRUMS ON THE OTHERS...
IT WASN'T SO MUCH "NOT INTENDED FOR RELEASE"...IT JUST NEVER HAPPENED...
IT'S GOTHICALLY SAD AND RIDICULOUS AS ALL HELL!!
SHEESH...P KNEW A VERY SMALL HANDFUL HAD IT...'NEVER THOUGHT ANYONE WOULD TRY TO SELL IT...
STILL NAIVE,AFTER ALL THESE YEARS...

that's wild. i've had this tape for ten years and never knew anything about it...except it certainly didn't sound like sheer terror! even franko,
the sheer terror trivia champion, knew little about it.
i have no idea who i bought it from, but i do remember the person lived in NY state. i'm thinking like newburg or poughkeepsie or something.
i haven't had a tape deck in years, but i'll see what i can do about getting one and making you a copy, paul. obviously, there is a fair amount of
interest in these songs, but if you'd rather they not get out, yours will be the only copy.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

it was probably jim gibson/noiseville records that sold it to you...he was going to release it on a 7",but that never came to be...
if you can make me a copy, that would be appreciated...everybody else will have to DREAM ON!
in all reality, folks - it's really nothing to write home about...it's just me and my friend,in his living room in greenpoint circa 1989...
we were calling it LINDENHURST after the town on long island where i was living,at the time...

no problem, paul. i'll get a copy out to you as soon as i can.
i understand you not wanting this out there, but i also know it's disappointing to those who are fans of your music. sure, it sounds... different...
but as a fan, i'm happy to have had the chance to hear what is essentially an extremely rare recording from one of my favorite musicians.
*removes lips from the rev's ass* besides, i'm sure there are plenty of other recordings that will never see the light of day.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
