Time to add to the suckage of 2009...
Time to add to the suckage of 2009...
Bought a used 95 for contour friday.
Heater went cold, temp gauge went up.
Went and got it fixed...
and here is the story
Spoke with the guy and he said [hindu accent]"Oh yes, your thermostat was installed upside down and your water pump is not working." So I said "Ok,
how much for a new water pump and the thermostat fixed?" He said he would call me back wit hthe final price but probably $150.00 so I said cool. I
call back about 2 hours later and he says "Oh, you are all set. It is fixed" so I tell him I'll pick uit up at 5. I start the car, fill the tank full,
drive it, and it is doing the exact same thing. I call the original american guy I spoke with first thing in the morning (since he called me on his
cell) and he said it was working fine when they ran it for 1/2 hour. I asked him if they replaced the water pump and he said no. So, I have no fucking
clue what they are trying to do but I am fucking pissed. They are towing it in the morning and taking another look at it. I just want a working
fucking car...

Dave- I see your point, but if he already paid those assholes $150... he'd have to start over somewhere else.

that fucking sucks! Car repair garages are a fucking scam! If it doesnt work out with this guy and you have to 'start over' then try and get some
recomendations from people about a place that seems to be fair.

I wish you lived closer.. we have agreat guy who does awesome work for practically nothing. He cleaned out my whole fuel injection system and only
charged me $12 for the fuild he used even though it took him 2 hours.
He's passed "questionsable" things so I could get an inspection sticker. He is just awesome. I had a car that needed $1500 worth of work and parts and
he passed it because I told him I only needed it for 4 more months until I could get a new one.
