he definitely shouldn't have taken the whole thug route as it's never really washed.
he reminded me a lot of kool keith when i first heard him.
just kinda goofy sounding rap with a dark side to it, kinda like Cage to whom he was often compared and with whom he beefed for a while.
then he started writing records about himself being famous and it all became a bit ridiculous.
i'd say he's more to hip hop what metallica is to metal.
he made some classics then became self obsessed, totally lost the plot and made a bunch of shit records.
i'd never really noticed until a couple of years ago when someone put it to me but listen to Eminem then check out Masta Ace (or vice versa) and it's
quite shocking how much Eminem bites his style.
