please read: Team Sadie '09, March of Dimes 'March for Babies'
As most of you know, my daughter was born extremely premature - she weighed only 1.5 pounds when she was born at 25 weeks.
To commemorate her tremendous recovery and to help raise money to improve the health of all babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and
infant mortality, we participate in the annual March of Dimes 'March for Babies' event. This year, the walk is April 25 (tomorrow!),
the same day as Sadie’s birthday.
Over the course of the past four years, we've raised over $16,000. And every year, the Thorp Board represents a significant percentage of those
contributions.
Our goal this year is a tough one - $3300 – but if we reach it, supporters of Team Sadie will have helped raise over $20,000 in just five years; a
humbling accomplishment.
Please consider contributing any amount. I will take a single dollar with great enthusiasm! Also, please feel free to repost or spread the word to
your friends and family if you think they’d be interested.

thanks to all of you for your comments, contributions and help.
today was a long day.
up at 5, at the walk site by 6 to start setting up.
team arrived at 9 - about 12 of us this year.
had to cut the walk a little short to get to ballet recital.
HA!
lunch, then over to the color fred's house for a birthday party.
500 kids runnin around that joint.
hope the kids sleep in tomorrow.
we're up to about $1,500.
confident we'll break $2k this week
but meeting our goal is unlikely.

Paul's tremendous success at raising funds for the autism walk has inspired me to give our March for Babies team one more push.
We've raised just over 2/3 of our goal.
I honestly didn't think we'd get this far, so we're making one last push of the next week.

thanks, honus, i appreciate that.
we'll break $3k, but that last $300 just doesn't seem likely.
this is our fifth year doing this, so we know where our money comes from, and at this point, we've heard from most of the people we would expect to.
lots of new names this year, though. people we don't even know. i'm anxious to send out the final post-fundraising email and find out how some of
these peeps heard about us!
