WOLVERINE
I saw it and liked it. Anyone else see it yet?
A few things that I wasnt overly thrilled about, but I wont spoil anything!
Its definitly a great "comic book" movie and probably a good movie even outside of that genre. I think that Iron Man is still the best so far though.
side note: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY is tomorrow! goto your local comic shop, get some free stuff and buy some stuff to support them!
if you in RI or MA goto Rubber Chicken Comics in Bellingham, MA and if your in NY goto the Brooklyn Monster Factory!!

I plan to go tomorrow. I hear it suffers from the same syndrome that got X3... to many cameos of mutants just for the sake of sticking them in there.
Plus some issues with digital FX.

i'll hold out for the cheap theater...
but I do that for just about anything anymore
we went to monster vs aliens in 3d and was way worth the ticket price...
and will mos def see the new transformers, maybe i-max...
but my whole family can go to a film for 10 bucks vs. 10-15 a piece

Luckily my kid's still in the freebie range at some theaters. And we only ever go to matinee shows.

I really liked the first couple of trailers, but the more recent ones haven't impressed me. I've also read really bad reviews across the board.
I didn't even see X3 due to the lack of loyalty to source material, and this is starting to look almost as off.

Well. I thought the movie was good. Just got back. A little rushed if you're familiar with the material... Gambit could've been any other mutant and
it wouldn't have mattered. Other than that, good popcorn superhero action flick.
I think the reviews out there are either A) from whiny comic book purists who often don't appreciate the movies of the entire X-Men franchise are
drawing not only from the 30 years of prior continuity but also from the Ultimate X-Men(the X3 take on Phoenix was definitely lifted from the early
depiction of Phoenix in the Ultimate X-Men) line or B) snooty reviewers that, for some reason, think every superhero movie has to be as mature dark
and psychological as The Dark Knight.

Dave- I'd normally agree with you, but, I've heard very few good reviews from a wide spectrum of people. I still need to check this out this week.

It's not as bad as you might think. I think most people are displeased with what they do with Deadpool and how under used some of the mutant
appearances are... and some CGI gaffes that stand out sometimes. It's not a horrible movie by any stretch of the imagination. There are way worse
action films, and obviously even worse superhero films. This isn't Ghost Rider or Daredevil.
