Johnny Cash Appreciation Post

I just noticed that our two most recent releases, OUT TO WIN's Beg For Life and Let It Ride by ANGEL CITY OUTCASTS, both pay hommage to The Man In Black. OTW's brutal Angel's Vs. Demons (track 5) begins with with a JC sample, while ACO dedicate the entire album to JC's memory.

Let's hear it for Johnny Cash. What is your favorite album or song?

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Johnny Cash-The Man Comes Around and the Unearthed album show what you can do with a guitar, a voice, and a microphone. Amazing.

yea, hanks definately one of the best songwriters in american history. george jones is playing here in november, ive got awesome seats. im excited, last time he played here both shows sold out in an hour and i didnt get to see him. dont even get me started on new country and what a pile of shit it is. i like the first couple dwight yoakam albums alot, definately check em out if you're into old buck owens. beyond that you'll find a lot of good indie stuff if you're willing to dig (rounder records, sugar hill records etc) just stay away from the radio. also definately check out fred eaglesmith. he puts on one of the best shows i've ever seen and he tours like a madman so check if hes coming near you.
