Standing the mid watch (or the balls as we fondly refer to it, military time 0000) tonight. catch a few hours of sleep then get up for section turn over and then home james, home. As you celebrate this weekend I ask that you remember what it is we have set this day aside for. Just this week we had an SH-46 Seahawk go down from the deck of USS Nimitz on the west coast with three confirmed dead and two MIA presumed dead. Even routine ops can go horribly wrong for us on any given day, it dosen't have to be on the streets of Baghdad or in the mountain ranges of Afghanistan. Dangerous job it is, dangerous. Thanks all for your continued respect and support.

I got to say that most of us take it for granted. Not one single person mentioned the military or the reason for the day off within our party. It wasn't until Monday when we took the boy to the parade. Everyone is so bent about the economy and being broke to give thanks it seems. Sad, because it should not be this way.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
