indie labels an 360 contracts

i know we've talked about this stuff before on the board, but here's a real quick description.

my question is mainly for THORP, but some of you other guys run labels or are in bands, so you can offer interesting comments as well...

given the move to the digital format, where free downloading is rampant, how are indie labels like thorp making up for the investment - if any - in releasing albums. no change so far? are the recording costs pushed back onto the artists, but they still keep all touring/merch proceeds?

i also noticed ticket prices for two punk festivals topped $100 for some tickets (both happening the same weekend), which is a bit insane to me... but could make sense depending on how money is shifted around behind the scenes.

Indie labels were getting involved w/ bands' merch before it even occurred to the majors to bring it in under a "360 deal."
