this annoys me
generally speaking, i don't like it when a band names themselves after another band's album, song or lyrics. i get the point of it being a tribute,
but i'm just not a fan.
but these dudes straight up named their band after another band's album, then named their album the same thing as that band's band name.
i understand they're from a different country, and i understand that they probably weren't even born when the original came out, but COME ON!
Outburst's "Miles To Go" is a classic hardcore record.

... and the guy who founded the band is a really huge outburst fan.
the guys in miles to go are totally stuck in new york´s 80s and that´s ok for me. good, it´s not very original what they do, but don´t take it too
serious.
they´re nice guys and il like them.
btw, i think outburst are much overrated.

I think a good name is a good name wether its another bands song or not.
PUNCH IN THE FACE is a good name
STEP ON IT isnt that great
using the name of an album and then naming your album after the band is a little much!

You'll all love the new Refuse Resist cd then, aptly titled Chaos AD.......
Funny thing is, none of us in Refuse Resist actually like Sepultura all that much.....go figure. Using a song title as a band name is one thing, but
ripping off multiple things from a band is another, little too much in this case.

I guess it also depends on your personal context.
- I love Outbust, so the above strikes me immediately (ESPECIALLY when coupled with 'Miles To Go')
- As a Slapshot fan, I would have a really hard time listening to band called 'Step On It'
- I never think of the Sepultura song when i think of the band Refuse Resist.
Personally, I very rarely remember song names, so I rarely make that connection.
Album names and lyrics, yes, but never song names.
You ask me my favorite song on my favorite album, and I'll tell ya "track 6".

I think if you have a name or song title of someone else and it's a different music genre it's a bit more acceptable. Yeah, Refuse Resist is a
Sepultura song, but we don't sound like Sepultura and are in a different genre of music so it's not too big of a deal.
I think it'd be different if a band emerges in the hardcore/punk scene named Firewalkers or Victims in Pain or something. The whole Outburst thing is
bit much IMO.

I imagine Pulling Teeth was named after the Left For Dead song, and the music is pretty damn close to what LFD were doing 10 years ago. I dig both
bands though
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I have a issue with this as well , but not much anyone can do. SUPERTOUCH, RIGHT BRIGADE, HATEBREED, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR and so on. So many have
done this its endless. I'm just glad that mathmatical hardcore/metal shit is over. Copy all the names you want just please stop making music that is
painful to listen to.

Only cover bands should do this.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

I really wanted Erba to do one more Face Value album just so they could call it "Phil Collins".

| Phil Collins had an album called Face Value. I tried to convince Erba to flip it around and do an FV album
and call it Phil Collins because it would have amused me, especially since very few other people would have gotten the joke.
