Holt shit The Pogues are coming to Houston.
The Pogues have confirmed these date for Fall 2009:

October 14: San Francisco, CA Regency Center @ The Grand
October 17: Los Angeles, CA Club Nokia LA

October 21: Tempe, AZ Marquee Theatre
October 23: Denver, CO Ogden Theatre
October 25: Kansas City, MO The Midland Theatre
October 28: Austin, TX Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheatre
October 29: Houston, TX House of Blues

I'm hoping to see 'em this time around. The closest I've gotten to seeing the Pogues was seeing Shane with The Popes in Austin in 2000 or so. That
show was amazing and I think it would be ten times beyond that to see the whole band. I do remember being shocked at the kind of douchebaggery that
went on at that show though, there were some frat types who wanted to fight me for refusing to help their buddy get on stage when he told me he wanted
to knock Shane down. Seriously, what the fuck?
