and Kindergarten has begun!

Little Ms. R83 rocked it at kindergarten today. Mom did a solid job too. Our little one is very fortunate. She has a ton of kids out of our neighborhood at the school (k through 5). Four of the kids in her class are her friends. She's pumped to start her official scholastic career.

Mom got a little teary but believes she has all contingencies covered. She did great.

My son starts Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. I don't think the wife is ready for him to be going on the school bus, but he is excited about it.

full day or half day?
the young master defstar did K last year
when we were in the valley it was full day
and it was tough...
jsut too much for a 5 year old
but when we moved out to the beach it was half day
in at 10 and out at 2:30
just enough to get the goods in but not over stimulate to the point of boredom

1st G startes next week, so it will be interesting

We are full day but she's used to it from pre-school. Our teacher is awesome too.

She rocked it too. Had a great day.

my daughter started today as well.
full day, 8:15-3:45.
her bus ride would have been over 90 minutes, so we opted to drive her.
she had fun, but told us straight up that it was a long day.
passed RIGHT out at bed time tonight!

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

we got lucky with both schools being less than a 10 minute walk
the half day thing was real nice, as we didn't have to struggle with strict bed times,
but it's going to get pretty serious quick next week...

I can't see the point of 4 and 5 year olds having to attened for a full day
like I said he did half the day here the 2nd half of the year and even missed a month due to moving and was still able to make the states requirments to move on with no issue.

My son starts along with me on September 8th. It will be a full day form 7:45 till 5p.m. Normally he is jsut there for a couple hours but since I start the academy he will be in the entire time I am. He is siked, but the wife and I are worried. It's a long day for a soon to be 4 year old. Monday through Friday will be a long semester. I have the HATEBREED song in my head. "PERSEVERANCE". It will be constant all semester long. At least we are not alone. Some of your kids are in similar situations.

They will keep him busy all day. Just be ready for a sleepy kid the first week. I'm sure he'll do great.
