I am really digging it. A lot. What are other good clutch cds? I will check em out. I remember some of you that are fans of them said that a couple
are not really good.

start at the first ep and work you way to where you are now
you can hear how they progressed from "post" hardcore band like helmet to more of the stoner jam song...
to me everything pure rock fury and back is untouchable...
after that I get bored
i think there were 3 really good songs on this record and the rest were filler
if you ever get the chance go backin time say 6 years and see them live...
not that they are bad now live they are sill amazing...
but that is before al lthis blues jam stuff took over the set...
last time I saw them they played more material I didn't know than I did and I am usualy singing along to every song...
http://www.metalinjection.net/tv/view/3467/clutch-pure-rock-...
this is a video of proabably my favorite track ever from them and I can't explain why...
other than the riff jsut makes me want to move...

Blast Tyrant has been my favorite album of theirs. If you really like the bluesy vibe I would say check out Robot Hive/Exodus and From Beale Street
to Oblivion.

If you are liking the new one, you'll probably dig all the albums.
like steve said their sound has progressed over the years,
but all their albums are good for what they are.
If i had to pick 1, I'd go with Pure Rock Fury.
I just find myself listening to that album a lot.
\"thank you very little\"

As has been mentioned, Clutch progressed from a genuinely heavy, post-hardcore -at times, full-on metal- band to a nearly full-fledged jam band.
Every album, even going back to "Transnational," has hints of a bluesy-influence and a touch of the jam-style, but it's so heavy, it doesn't register
as being anything like the 20-minute Bonnaroo, space-out, "I-need-a-miracle" jam you're gonna get now. It's just one of those things that progressed
over the past...18 or so years.
I LOVED everything up through "Pure Rock Fury". "Transnational" is fucking hyper, but I probably listen to "Elephant Riders" the most. It's a really
natural blend of the heavy and the jam. It just doesn't feel forced; you would never question why this metal band suddenly has a blaring,
five-minute-long, guitar-drum-trumpet instrumental track ("Crackerjack").
I have all the recent releases and will also buy "Strange Cousins," but I don't expect to be all that into it. Clutch is the only band I continue to
support so diligently, despite the fact that the last release I enjoy is eight years old. I love this band and have great memories of the dozen or so
times I saw them live between 92 and 01.
1993 Transnational Speedway League: Anthems, Anecdotes & Undeniable Truths
1995 Clutch
1998 The Elephant Riders
1999 Jam Room
2001 Pure Rock Fury
2004 Blast Tyrant
2005 Robot Hive/Exodus
2007 From Beale Street to Oblivion
2009 Strange Cousins from the West

Just rear your ugly fuckin’ head, I’LL PUT IT ON A PLATTER!!!!
If you ever need to get really bumped up, go listen to "Binge and Purge" from "Transnational." Just put it on in the background. By 4:50, you're
gonna run across the house and dropkick whoever is in front of you. I promise. There’s a reason why they stopped playing this live.

If you ever need to get really bumped up, go listen to "Spacegrass" from "Clutch.". Just put it on in the background. By 4:45, you're gonna run
across the house and drop kick whoever is in front of you. I promise.

I remember Clutch playing Binge and Purge the first time I saw them on the Transnational... tour and the place went fucking insane.
I love all of Clutch's albums except one. I have never gotten into The Elephant Riders at all, with the exception of the title track. Beyond that,
didn't like it.
If I had to recommend three albums by Clutch, I would go with Transnational..., Clutch, and Pure Rock Fury. The Impetus e.p. is also a must have.

CLUTCH RUMOR:
Someone put on youtube that CLUTCH wont play a song because someone killed an animal to it at a show. What if anything happened?

"ANTHRAX, HAM RADIO, AND LIQUOR"
something must be said for these lyrics from the new record.
