people make a big fucking deal about this band.
"they're great" - "they suck"
"they suck" - "they're great"
shut the fuck up.
you either like it or you don't.
i like it.
and when i see shit like the video below, obviously they know how to put on a show.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
still unsure if I'm into it or not....
the music is pretty hyper, but at the same time kind of bland song after song...
they go off live, but yeah so does everyone...
Not bad and they do rock it live on this vid. They need some new shorts though. I mean really cut off jeans that are tight as woman's jeans. That shit
was played out 20 years ago.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
jury is still out for me. the cover gavin posted with the studio version is good. i'm not so excited about the others, but i don't hate them either.
for me, i think it's a matter of thinking too many live recordings sound like shit, so i can't really judge them based on this. not gonna buy their
album, but might not turn it off if it's playing.
and i've never heard of this band before this thread or the love-hate opinions that apparently most people have about them.
not really my thing, but i can see why people like it. reminds me a lot of the kind of metal all the sXe kids i knew used to listen to... mostly
metal but with these really clean artsy guitar parts.
to me its english dudes take on american hardcore
i hear no metal in it
unlike 90% of the shit that is being passed off as "hardcore" from american these days
Those who are in control of such things try to market them as metal in the states...
where as green day is punk this is metal...
people in suits no nothing about marketing music and it shows...
and they play them on the sirius metal station all the time,
but no much else that is punk by any means
I remember when refused blew up it was this same kind of feeling for me
it's good but it feels forced at times...
i don't know enough of the bands history but they did get signed to a major and blow up kinda quick...
ok, wow...that is a decent version of "staring at the rude boys"...this band would have never gotten my attention if it wasn't (or should i say,
weren't) for geoff pointing that out.
I accept the interpretation that his is an english band filtering modern american HC.
I can't decide how to catagorize them....
the bass player has FUCKING DENIM CLAM DIGGERS on in that one video....
Not feeling the Ruts cover honestly. Really misses the feeling of the original to me, and I love that song. They look like they bring alot of energy
to their show, and like Geoff said, at least they don't sound like every new hardcore (read: shitty generic metal) band.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin
