The origins of sports and math and sciences are no doubt questionable at best. Much of what the Greeks had was lifted from the Egyptians in terms of
philosophy, metaphysics, math and science. Similar sports sprung up literally everywhere human beings were relatively independently of each other.
Wrestling and boxing, for instance, are human fucking instinct. The Greeks didn't invent anything in that regard. Their wrestling is arguably less
developed than the wrestling/grappling of other parts of the world.
Fucking ridiculous.
