Thank god for new, old stock
Gripfast are my all-time favorite shoe.
I've had two pairs of the five-hole, steel-toe wingtips - one black, one black w/ greasy red.
They've lasted longer and were more comfortable than any pair of docs I've owned.
Unfortunately, White & Co. (also make T.U.K.) stopped making them about two years ago.
Since then, I've searched online and set up an ebay alert for gripfast 13, just in case.
FINALLY found a shop in Denver that had a few different styles in my size.
http://www.vixensandangels.com
I picked up the regular black steel toe shoe.
These are actually even more comfortable than the wingtips. They have a mammoth 1" screw-on sole (1.5" in the heel, like i need that!) But there's a
1/4 soft rubber cushion layer in the middle of the sole that makes them really easy on the feet. I mean, they still weigh about 5 fucking pounds, but
they are surprisingly comfortable.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Ha, yeah, I love Gripfast too and those are the same model that originally hooked me in. That cushiony bit in the sole makes such a huge difference. I
was looking at the address for the link you posted and knew it sounded familiar, but it's the webstore for FashioNation which is a really cool shop
for clothes and shoes in Denver. I hit 'em up just about every time I run up there. I guess that store has been around for quite a while and they
seems to be one of the few remaining shops of their type that I've found. They have that vibe that completely reminds me of the independent shops I
used to practically live in when I was a young Punk kid.

i called them up once i saw em on the site just to double check.
cause that has happened a couple times.
some small punk shop has em on the site but they;re totally out of stock.
anyway, even over the phone, you could tell it was that kind of place.
music blaring in the background, but very helpful and informative.
the guy i spoke with said that he heard they're supposed to start making them again soon.
i hope so!

I was thinking that you might be able to step in for Ace Frehley (sp) on this next KISS tour or duck through the doorways of BD Central.
Them some nice looking wheels Bud.
