guitar question
any recommendations on a cheap(er) beginning guitar for playing hardcore? i am def going to go the used route but would like some
idea...brands/models...i need something simple to play some basic hardcore chugga to start.
pedals?
thought this would be a good place to ask since most people don't even know what hardcore is still (good!)

seems like the 'hardcore' guitars are either a Les Paul or an SG. I dont know if the Epihone versions sound as good or not, but that might be a good
place to check because they are a lot cheaper.
I bet Mark Lind is the best person to answer this question.

I have a 84 BC RICH Warlock with EMG active pickups floyd rose tremolo and neck thru body with inverted hed stock i wouldn't mind parting
with.......you'd look like Kerry King circa 1983.
Currently it is a decoration in my living room becasue I gave up any hope of ever playing again.

LTD by ESP are nice and they aren't too pricey. Check out the Viper and the EC lines, they look like the SG and the Les Paul.

I have an ESP LTD F Series that I like a lot. The shap is pretty cool too.
I have this one....
this one...
and this one...
and I have these....
just like this, but mine is tinted red
The 'General Lee' one is a total piece of shit. The 'Van Halock' isn't a high end guitar, but I like it...
like this, except mine is way more beat up...
I also have a beat up Wasburn 4 string bass that I got in 1987. It was my first bass. Its wicked beat up and signed by Gene Simmons, Marky Ramone,
Jerry Only, Dez Cadena & King Buzz Osbourne
I just sold this one...
These are guitas I always wanted....

Honus most of the guitars you put up seem like you would be required to wear spandex to play them.
I have also been thinking about trying to learn guitar but at 27 it may be a lost cause.
Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.

one of my first guitars was an Ibanez Iceman, but really beat up and not shiny. It had a nice bottom end.
That thing weighed a ton and I was a underweight 15 year old at the time....
My Warlock is of better quality than those Slipknot / Slayer things that they were producing as of lately. The action on it is awesome and it plays
great, but is too heavy for my liking.
I used to have BC Rich Iron Bird with a Kahler Trem on it. I put different pickups on it and it was great, but broke the head stock, had it repaired,
broke it again and ended up selling it in pieces to some hippy with a guitar shop in Kensington.
all those toys and I still suck at playing.
i guess that was just me bing young and money burning a hole in my pockets.

next to my home, my guitar was the most expensive thing i ever bought but it was worth every penny.
a few years back i had a Jackson but it was all fucked up and i borrowed a friend's Gibson SG to play a set.
I was stunned, it was like the songs were playing themselves. I knew I had to get an SG from that moment onward and actually grew to hate my Jackson.
a few months later, i basically abandoned all logic and reason and shelled out nearly £800 on a Gibson SG, Voodoo edition.

Honus, that is some serious Metalious guitar stuff you have there...
i'm down to two guitars now:
Gibson - Les Paul Studio
Jay Turser - JT-50
I bought this as a back-up guitar, and i ended up liking it a lot. At the time I liked it more than my les paul (my first Gibson Les Paul not the one
above) and i ended up recording with it for pretty much the whole "off the beaten path album"
pretty good solid guitar, and they are pretty cheap too.
*(note this is not my room nor picture)
Oh and for an amp i go classic:
Fender 4x10 Deville

Good point i will have to put some money aside and get a guitar probably need some lessons to. I played for a little while when i was 12 or 13 but i
had a shitty old acoustic guitar and wasn't interested at learning nursery rhymes and stuff when i was getting taught that.
Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.
