Germany is a big country

I was debating whether to take the train to see Discipline this weekend. They're playing two shows in Germany. I've gotten so used to European countries being tiny that I was amazed when I found out Berlin is like 12 hours away, and I'm sure as fuck not catching a 7am (07:00 for the Euros on here) train for a show. The Saturday show seems equally appealing.

However, it looks like I can do X-mas in Amsterdam for a reasonable price if nothing else entices me... or makes me want to work through the holidays.

The diocese of Port Pirie in South Australia is the size of Germany AND France. Talk about big, that's just 1 part of 1 state.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
