Back again from Tuesday, already have a load of shows im going to and incase I have a spare minute BD has sent me a list of any I may have missed hearing of!
Celebrating my birthday when im over this time, have a coupla places in mind but any other suggestions for a place preferably in NYC or NJ that wont be too dead on a Monday night? Was going to do something on the Sunday but didnt want to tear any of my friends away from their other halfs on Valentines!

Oh yeah shit, its Valentines day soon.

I hope She gets me something good this year.....

Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.

I had been considering this but looks like im actually going to end up at either the madball/wisdom in chains/bulldoze show or e-town concrete that weekend as they are both a little nearer than Boston! :(

Yup there is one on Clapham high street, I have never been to that one though as I seem to always just go to the one in Covent Garden.
You remember when we were at luch the other week I was telling you about the place with all the fruit beers and other stuff? That's the place in case you didnt figure!

Next time you're over BD we'll go there instead of The Oval....on our way to MAX II of course....haha!

oh, yeah, ok.
makes sense... those belgians and all their beers.

ya know, the oval certainly got the job done, but i was a much bigger fan of the fentiman arms. i'd go over at night by myself after the kids were in bed and read out in the back garden.

Is the Fentiman the really off-key one or the slightly nicer, not so full of crazy, shady drunks one?! Those 2 pubs at the end of the road, I've only been in one of them once I think!

i never worked up the nerve to enter either of those pubs by the tube station - hannover arms and the greyhound, i think.

fentiman arms is definitely a nicer joint than both of those. from matty's, crossclapham and directly across the street is fentiman road - it's two blocks down on the right. http://www.geronimo-inns.co.uk/thefentimanarms/

yep, very nice pub and a very nice street.

when you come back Duane (which reminds me i have to reply to your email, sorry dude), you have to check out The Prince Wales in Cleaver Square. About 15 minutes walk from Oval tube in this really quiet street called Cleaver Square.

It's like you're not in London anymore.

Going to the E-Town Concrete/Ill Bill/Mongoloids/Razorblade Handgrenade show in NJ tonight and Pulling Teeth/Strike Anywhere/Ruiner/Blacklisted in Baltimore tomorrow after getting my Hippo tattoo, yes, I said a Hippo!

Seeing you look so happy whilst dancing was great! haha
Yeah the ladies totally loved you, Georgina and Melissa were both saying how lovely you are on the way home.
I still havnt put my pics up from last time! I need to get on that when I get home end of this week.

Last night was the birthday celebrations, wasnt sure I wanted to go out but did in the end and dragged Muttley to karaoke with us girls, his refusal to sing stood firm though!

And thanks again to the Rev for the shots and enduring me go on about my love for Hippos whilst trying to work!

i don't dance very often - before that show, it had been maybe three or four years - but when i do, i have fun.

people are so fucking concerned with being the king of the pit... standing around, looking hard, waiting for the heaviest parts of the heaviest songs before they start executing their choreographed series of windmills and spinkicks.

fuck that. get loose. have fun.

i felt bad for madball. there was definitely more standing than dancing. at one point, i was running around - still in my winter coat, hat and gloves - screaming at people to start moving. nuthin'... at least until 'set it off' got played.
