ufc 112 (this one has ***SPOILERS***)
For most of the night, I felt like I was watching bad kickboxing, not MMA.
Why the fuck was Gracie-Hughes a crappy stand-up fight? A great wrestler versus a BBJ expert from the family who created it, and this fight never
went to the ground.
I hate it when BJ Penn gets bored, since he turns in lackluster performances. No offense to Frankie Edgar, but this was not the dominant BJ Penn
we've seen since his return to lightweight. And I'm sure this will come up on a ton of MMA websites and maybe even here, but every round of that
fight was a coin-toss to decide the winner.
I am a huge Demian Maia fan after tonight. That guy has tons of heart.
As amazing as Silva is, I don' think I can ever get excited about another one of his fights. There was a time when I thought he was trying to send a
message to the UFC brass to set up big fights for him (around the time of Cote and Leitas), but refusing to fight for 2.5-3 rounds is just bullshit.
The first two rounds were awesome, but it just went straight to hell after that. Even when Maia was coming in to engage, Silva just backed off.
Tonight is the first time I have ever had a positive thing to say about Dan Miragliotta, and he should have taken the point from Silva. And he should
have done it one round earlier.

I am not a fan of BJ Penn at all. The dude has crazy skills, but how many times does he "get bored" and then work his way back to being dominant.
Its the same story every time he loses, and it makes him sound like he's just an arrogant jerk off.

i fucking hate UFC. its a sport by and for total douchebags, and i think anderson silva proved that to me once again on this shit
plus if im at work and its a UFC night im 100% guaranteed that people are gonna act like assholes and im gonna have problems all night long
now when theres a big boxing match, everything is calm and cool, and people are generally in good spirits
i dunno though it may be different in other parts of the country
az is the land of bro fucks in monster trucks, so theres a pretty high supply of jerk offs running around all the time no matter what the night is
