That movie looks great.

Slain from La Coka Nostra has a small roll in the movie.

Is it just me, or does the trailer seem to give away WAY too much of the plot? I fucking hate when they do that, then what is the point of watching?

Yeah...but show me a more than 5 trailers in the past 10 years that haven't done that. Seems like standard operating procedure anymore.

I still go and see movies though, I don't really see anything with a never seen before plot coming out thats going to wow me and theres still 90+ minutes of movie not shown in a trailer.

keep a lookout for CHEECH merch and Welch Boys merch in this flick...we had Tshirts, CDs and stickers dressed into the movie set. A friend of ours worked on this flick in Boston and got our shit into it. Know for a fact that someone was wearing a CHEECH P.A.G.A.N shirt in a bar scene, but dont know if it made final cut. Had to sign a Warner Brothers release waiver and everything. Hit the Big Time. haha.

Ben Affleck has made a few good movies. I haven't watched the trailer for this yet but I probably will see it eventually.

My cousin played a bit part in a bar scene in this thing. He's shooting pool or something and the scene opens on him. He said it was an awful experience.

this looks good.

Jay: Do they say who's fuckin' playing us in the movie?

Holden: No, but it's Miramax. So I'm sure it'll be Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. They put those guys in a bunch of movies.

Jay: Who?

Holden: You know, those kids from Good Will Hunting?

Jay: You mean that fuckin' movie with Mork from Ork in it?

Holden: Yeah, I wasn't a big fan either... but Affleck was the bomb in "Phantoms".

Jay: Word, bitch, Phantoms like a mallfucker.

Gone Baby Gone was a great movie and I had the bar set really high since I'm such a fan of the characters/books.

and as far as the acting...I can't think of a whole lot of bad movies dudes been in (yes I'm aware of a couple stinkers). Now I'm not going out to see a movie because it specifically had Affleck in it...but I wouldn't avoid it either.

I like watching Boston-based movies just to see how bad they butcher the accent. Usually the Afflecks get it about right, but even in some of the more critically acclaimed films, the accent is horrible. I watched The Departed again this weekend, and Martin Sheen and Leonardo DiCaprio were so over the top it was funny. It didn't ruin the movie for me, but it was noticable. Plus, watching it with my grilfriend was fun just to watch her impression of DiCaprio in every movie he's been in.
