Music I've re-discovered recently
I'm sure there's more, but these have been on the iPod all week. It's amazing how easy it is to forget some of these, since they're so fucking good.
Anti Heros - American Pie
Paxton Boys - Skinhead Rock and Roll 7"
Whiskey Rebels - self titled and Create or Die
King Size Braces - Land of Broken Dreams
GG Allin & the Jabbers - Banned in Boston
Hudson Falcons / King Size Braces split
Hard Skin - Hard Nuts and Hard Cunts

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I've had two Tank Abbot sightings in my neighborhood. I saw him right outside my house a couple weeks ago and
then my friend saw him in a parking lot. Driving a Honda civic, and not a nice one.
Both those Whiskey Rebels records are amazing.

Funny I was just listening to Anti-Heroes American Pie CD on the way to work and coming back home. Great record. I only have Paxton Boys in MP3 format
and wish I had a hard copy on vinyl. Did they ever release anything else?

It's been a long ass time since I've put anything by Anti-Heros on the stereo but they're such a great band and this album is never far from my heart.
Who the hell can't relate to "Return to Manzanar"? Such a well written tune. I had pleasure of being friends with Mark Noah for some time and I
totally fanboyed him up on the songs. He took me on a tour of Atlanta and pointed out all sorts of references from their songs while we were out
drinking. Dude is a riot and has great stories. The most shocking bit of information is that the story from the song "Murder One" is 100% true all the
way down to the names of the killers. Apparently three dudes got away with murdering a homeless man and he took to the music to call them out when the
police closed the case. That might be the single greatest act of "punk rock" in action that I've ever heard of.
Another great tune by them is "I'm True" off the follow up album. I may have to put some of these songs on my iPod.
Any idea what the Murder One EP would fetch these days? I know it's ultra-rare and has that controversial album cover.

ready for this.... I don't think I've never heard anti-heroes.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Jello's stuff with the Melvins is also incredible. Much better than that fake ass DK reunion a few years back.

I don't know. Was your version on Squigtone? That's the only cover I remember, but I wouldn't have bothered paying much attention.

King Sized Braces is the best band to have the worst name ever. Really cool dudes too, they came out and played a backyard show one time for some
friends and I w/ Hudson Falcons and were 110% content to be paid in PBR and chicken wings.
