Smuttynose Beer.
From reading through old posts, looks like a good number of you enjoy a good brew at the end of a day. I recently discovered a brand called Smuttynose
based out of New Hampshire and I really dig their Old Brown Dog Ale. Anyone else try this?
I have also really enjoyed Youngs Double Chocolate Stout and Long Trail Brewmaster Series Coffee Stout.
What are some good dark ales you recommend that I should try?

Smuttynose is good shit. I'm assuming you're in the northeast since I don't think it's distributed elsewhere. There's a lot of styles that would fit
under dark ales, but it sounds like you like roasty styles (stout, porter, browns, etc). You should be able to get your hands on Cadillac Mountain
Stout from Bar Harbour Brewing which is excellent. Also, Fluxus 2010 or Black from Allagash should be readily available in any decent store. Rogue
Shakespeare Stout or North Coast Old Rasputin should be fairly easy to get as well.
I'd also recommend if you haven't explored the darker Belgian beers to do so. Some options that should be available in better stores:
Black Albert (DeStruise)
Red or Blue (Chimay)
Dubbel (Westmalle)
8 or 10 (Rochefort)
That should get you started. Good luck and welcome to the board.

Thanks and I really like those roasty style brews. I am located in the Northeast and will check some of those beers you mentioned.

Whats this end of the day crap!?!
Just kidding...I think. Some good brews recommended so far...if you're curious to go out and try new stuff check this link:
Northeastern Beermap
Not sure on your exact location but that should give you a ton of brewery and brewpub options to visit or just look into further.

Got a couple additions to that map:
Brand new local brewery in West Chester:
http://www.boxcarbrewingcompany.com
And a fine, fine brewpub in Downingtown:
http://www.stationtaproom.com
I had the Sly Fox Ichor (also a local beer, out of Phoenixville) at the Station recently and was really, really impressed.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I hit this place last night and tried over 12 different beers at this place that specializes in German fare.
I don't remember any of their names.
I enjoyed ALL of them.
I got very drunk.
My head hurts today
I did however have some curry ketchup that was super good.
