watched all 3 Red Riding films in a row yesterday and it's fucking brilliant.
It's set over a nine year time period in a small Northern town and deals with a corrupt police force and a series of missing young girls in the area.
The second episode features Paddy Considine and uses the real-life events of Peter Sutcliffe ('the Yorkshire Ripper') as a backdrop.
Excellent writing, acting, atmosphere.. the lot.
Probably the best British drama I've seen in recent years.
VERY fucking dark indeed and I was really taken aback by how intense it gets in places.
Check it out ASAP, you will not be disappointed.
Watch this then watch This Is England 86 and you might see why I'm so disappointed with it.
