Ari Upp/The Slits...

Dead...I was never a big fan,by any means...My first "girlfriend" was a friend of her's,and Palm Olive...I dealt with her, later, when she was trying to go for this Reggae/Rasta vibe (little kids, running around as well...Total Rasta,but...),but she was TOTAL on this MAN/WOMAN/BEAST,or whatever tip...I may be wrong in my understanding but I really doubt that I am/was considering I've been immersed/listening to SKA/REGGAE/BLUEBEAT/DUB/CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL for 30 years, but she was talking in "man over woman" vibe inbetween songs...I was surprised...And,the music wasn't that great,if I may be so bold as to criticize...

Regardless...A PUNK ROCKER HAS LEFT THE BUILDING...ALL RESPECTS,DUE.

Will learn to Tap Dance,eventually...Will have you broads Hula,definitely...Trust me,you'll see.

I'm not familiar with her at all, actually I know nothing about Reggae and I know mostly 3rd wave Ska, but like paulie said... all respects due.... RIP.

I actually liked the Slits a lot, but she was definitely an aquired taste. Her mom has been married to Johnny Rotten since the late 70's.

heard of the slits but not familiar with their material.
RIP nonetheless.
Like Paul put it, a punk rocker has left the building, one of us collectively.

Never really got into them too........Bit hit and miss. Having saying that I did however enjoy the LP cover of them naked and covered in mud. Read the story in the local paper while at work and was quite shocked to read the whole Johnny Rotten link. But yeah R.I.P.

Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.
