Yeah, I'm stoked. I've become a huge Green Lantern fan over the last couple years.

ok I like him and all, but how many comic movies can he be in??
Looks decent, but I think the cgi might end up being too heavy-handed for my tastes.

You can't do Green Lantern without tons of CGI though. The costume being CGI makes a certain amount of sense, but that might just be a little too
ambitious right now.

of course there has to be CGI, no question, just the character cgi instead of keeping it to special effects is what throws me off.

You mean Hal's costume or like... basically every alien Green Lantern being totally CGI? Sinestro, at least, isn't completely CGI'd. It is awkward,
but it should prove an interesting experiment.
We'll have to see. They are already at work on a script for GL2, with a 3rd planned after that.

saw a trailer for this in the theater last night. the action looks pretty good and seth rogen definitely adds a funny factor that looks like it keeps
the movie feeling kinda loose. i generally don't get into superhero movies, but i'd check this out.
(also saw the trailer for green lantern last night. not interested.)

I am incredibly over all these gay comic book movies.

see, i was NEVER into comics, so the usual nostalgia of "i read this comic for years - can't wait to see it on the big screen" just isn't there for
me. i liked the dark knight and i liked ironman (the first one very much, second not as much), but that's about it.
lord of the rings, however, i was an adaptation i was super stoked on. i couldn't wait to see those movies.

The nice thing about Green Lantern is that it doesn't have to be done like a superhero movie. It can be more of a sci-fi/fantasy thing given the
source material. The guy is only a superhero on earth, in the rest of the universe he's a space cop.
