Hell, piercings have been an issue for a while, what with metal detectors and shit. I remember reading about a woman who had her nipple rings removed by security with a pair of pliers they had on hand. Shit's all fucked up. Makes me wanna get my junk all pierced up just to provoke the issue.

Weird... I've never had an issue with setting off metal detectors with my lip ring.

i set one off years ago when i had more piercings, but not since i pulled most out.
i'm sure the genital piercings yield a double take every time.
now i'm kinda excited to go through one!

last time I flew, which I should be doing again in less than a month, I was surprised that all they did was a metal detector, making me take my belt & wallet off, shoes off, & let me go through with a tube of toothpaste in my backpack I was trying to ask them if I could carry it on (obviously not), but they were too busy hassling an old lady who had like 20 bottles of toiletries, so I just went on anyway. I find it funny that for all these silly safety precautions, they can't even get it right.

& as far as keeping people safe, I won't even get into that because I don't believe 9/11 happened like the government tells us anyway. I myself do not get on a plane fearful of terrorists, I'm fearful of turbulence. I'll keep taking planes because I have nothing to hide, but if I had a family & they wanted to strip search them, I'd not be too happy at all

wow, just right now saw on FB a good friend of mine was "randomly" chosen in an airport security line to have her hands swabbed with a cloth & entered into a machine(?!) She happens to be covered in tattoos, piercings & dreadlocks, making me wonder about the "randomness" of their choice. Do they really think that someone who already sticks out in a crowd is gonna be a terrorist? I'd be searching the most average looking business man with a briefcase if I was working that job

COMPLETELY.

i'm not a prude person, but i still fail to see how people are so ok with having themselves and their family photographed essentially nude just so they could ride a plane. i understand the need for security and i understand that there are people who will go to any length to hurt americans, but in my opinion, it's playing to people's fears and it's not reasonable.

I guess I don't understand the big deal...you're not going through that scanner in any order...there's no way to attach that image to you personally unless you have some evil supergenius instead of the normal mouthbreather TSA agent.

I fly frequently for work...I'm all for anything that keeps the damn line moving faster.

I got the swab thing in Philly's airport.
I was in the concentration booth for about 40 seconds

it's all just government bs used to filter money into shams like the dept of homeland security etc.....
most of the people working airport security that i have seen in my latest journeys are right on par with the average walmart idiot.
