My 15 Thorp CD's which I posted in that thread :) Highlight was Ramallah & Out To Win albums.

2x 2TB WD Green hard drives
some lottery tickets
Cash from parents
Lots of chocolate

I think that's it :D Hard drives & CD's win, plus lots of snacks for the new year.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I got dumped off my Girlfriend......Christmas Eve.

That was a big surprise.

Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.

Got a Bose sound dock for my ipod.
Gave my nephew a Chronicles of Narnia plastic sword, nothing is a better gift for my four year old nephew than a toy weapon of some sort.

Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.

we did a lot of our shopping at antique stores. That's where I bought everything for the family, except a bottle of Corazon tequila for my dad. Mom got an old china hat that had been laquered to hang on the wall, sister got a vintage bustier & an old Squaw greenbean can (she's into collecting Native American stuff, thought it was cool since that's not a politically correct brand name in this day & age). I got an iPod Shuffle, a ship in a bottle, a strange mask to hang on the wall, an old ceramic wine bottle shaped like a deer head, an cigar ashtray made out of a horn, a book on traditional tattoos, Mosh Potato (a metal cookbook), Rose Tattoo's latest album on vinyl, a CCR album I already had but in better condition, random personal hygiene items, hot sauces, jalepenos, sardines, an old pin-up playing card & $100

oh, & I can't forget my friend gave me a live Black Flag bootleg 12" of Henry's return to DC in '81.
Probably the best present was getting to see a lot of old friends all at the same bar the night after Christmas, seeing that everyone's doing well for themselves, minus the one buddy who can't handle his drinking & got the cops called on him by my roommate & taken to detox for coming over wasted to our house with a random bum at 3AM. Peace was made the next day, he understood, & I told him a year ago he's not allowed to drink at our house because he can't handle it

It's amazing what kids pick up on. An adult never would have thought of that.

The wife and I didn't exchange this year so there was no mass influx of goodies...but I did get a whole slew of Caribou Coffee gift cards and a Mr Beer, home beer maker thing so that's cool.

Was an odd xmas. First one with no grandparents at all...which surprisingly enough didn't become an issue...but it sure did leave a gap in stuff to do not running to multiple houses. Seemed like less of an event.

I just got a new gift from Noel at Intertia Entertainment in Toronto.

He got me on the guest list +1 for Darkest Hour in Brisbane on January 4 :D

I get to see one of my favourite bands of all time for free.

Turns out she was seeing someone else.............I've been played for an absolute fool (again) It happened to me a few years ago and I ended up having a nervous breakdown, That WILL not be happening again. We went out shopping yesterday underwear shopping as she mentioned she had no decent underwear left..............There's a sick twisted joke in there somewhere. I feel like the biggest fool......And yet again all my pride, dignity and self respect has been striped away........We was talking about marriage only last month........That's the part that really hurts. She even bought him Christmas presents!

Sorry to hear Wez. That sucks horribly. Last relationship I was in, if you can even call it that, I found out the bitch was fucking one of my best friends.

The most of tue presents at Christmas this year were booze related at my house. Got a bottle of muscat canelli wine for my little sister, bottle of chardonay for my mom, and a bottle of bourbon barrel aged beer for my dad.

I got a kindle, a couple of movies, and some beer. Had been saving up for a while a got a used sig sauer p220 for myself that I picked up this weekend.
