EXTREME COUPONING - TLC

This lady had a $1,300 bill and only paid $51.00 Not fucking kidding. They have grocery stores in their own house. It's freaking unreal. They have inventory.

This motherfucker bought 1100 boxes of TOTAL cereal. and paid only $150. That's a savings of almost $4,000 dollars.

lol I'm guessing this is a TV show?

They don't really do coupons in Australia :( Makes me sad.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I'm big on the couponing, and getting better, but considering I have a couple of jobs, and somewhat of a life I'm not that crazy into it (yet!).

Tho last week I got 3 things of toothpaste and made 3 cents! My man and I watched this show when it was on so he gave me a bit of a hard time about it thinking I'm going to wind up hoarding 87 tubes by next week.....

Check your grocery store website to see if they double. Shaws does, and had tooth paste on sale for .99... I had 3 coupons for .50 off.....

Some good friends of mine work at a conveince store so they steal me all the coupons on Sundays, plus I get a crap ton from the papers at the nursing home I work at.

one of my friends dads has been doing this for years, like going back to 90-91. He used to have a back stock of 20+ tubes of toothpaste, laundry soap, soup, pasta... you name it. When one of our other friends got his first apartment and live by himself, he used to grocery shop in my friends basement!

^^^^^ If you see this show you will be surprised at how organized they are. Except one lady. One lady had a pile of tooth brushes one a futon in the attic.

So how exactly is this done? You get a shit load of the same coupon that saves you the most and you on whatever that product is? Then you get a tremendous amount of it? How do they save that much money? It seems too damn easy.

that is crazy, that's a lot of damn savings. I recently learned that the Natural Grocers I shop at can't always sell out certain items without preservatives before the expiration date, so I've found some rediculous deals on stuff, especially juices. As far as the person who got 40 boxes of pasta, 60 sauce and 48 2 liters of pop for under $3, that is pretty impressive, but I'm pretty sure that's more pasta & close to the amount of soda I've consumed over the past 26 years of my existence....

I saw a commercial for that show. It's fucking insanity. One person said they spent approx. 80 hours a week clipping coupons. That's not being smart, that OCD.

^^^^^^ And you wouldn't have to buy any for a very very long time if you stocked up.

Yeah they spent 80 hrs saving $300 in groceries instead of working so they're making like -$20 an hour on life.

80 hours a week x $10 min wage = $800 to earn a savings of $300 doesn't work out.

Here are a few websites to help ya..

mojosavings.com

thethriftymama.com

coupongeek.net

howtoshopforfree.net

I'm also a freebie whore, it's a great way to try new things and they usually come with coupons.

All I'm saying (I was just throwing generic numbers @ it) is if you value your time, even as suggested at a minimum wage level, he just spent $800 worth of his time to make $300 in savings.

I'd rather make the $800, spend the $300 on goods and come out with $500. Just seems like a poor use of time IMO.

That's enough hypotheticals for me this week....since I don't even know where I pulled that $300 from to begin w/.
