Got a source for that? Red Skull is the villain and it's set in WWII as far as I've seen in all the pictures. Unless they invented some fake Axis
enemy I don't know how it couldn't be.

For whatever reason the Nazis have now become Hydra. They're doing it on the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon show too.

I'm not sure. If I had my druthers they'd make Hydra to be a super scary off-shoot of the Nazis that were perhaps Red Skull's personal cult. Competing
with Hitler perhaps.
In the cartoon series, though, they basically are the Nazis. Same uniforms, same war strategy, just instead of swastikas they have the Hydra skull &
tentacles thing.
