now wait a minute (foo fighters)

I have never been a fan of this band
just always was too poppy for my taste
but holy shit
this song is actually fucking good, and the video is even more awesome as Lemmy is in it...

FOO FIGHTERS are great. Don't fight it because your missing out on rocking out to good tunes bro. I know I sound like a Chode, but that band rules

Dave Grohl rules. I still need to hear Probot & this new song, will check when I get home.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Dave Grohl is a definitely good people. He randomly showed up at a bar a bunch of us were drinking at in London and was totally happy to hang out and shoot the shit for a good while as well as posing for photos with passers by every 5 minutes.

One of my friends in such a state she actually threw up on his shoes and was still cool about it haha

You might wanna check out Torche if you like Foo Fighters as they are often compared to them.
I love Torche. Totally poppy but very heavy too.

I think the Probot record is amazing and the whole concept of him writing songs for his favorite bands, playing all the instruments and then having the singer of those bands sing them is awesome!

You can listen to that record and its like a compilation. He literally sat down and wrote a Sepultura song, a DRI song, a King Diamond song, a Motorhead song etc....

I've always kinda dug the Foo Fighters, just good catchy rock n roll songs. I just hate that mentos commercial that used their song....and I hate that song because of it.

i don't think the song was ever actually used IN a mentos commercial, was it?
their video for the song was a parody OF the mentos commercials, though.
the characters in the video were all eating FOOTOS, The Fresh Fighter!

Lemmy was the only thing good about that and even his presence couldn't get me all the way through that. Grohl is a talented musician and all that, but this stuff is definitely NOT for me.

used to see dave a lot around dc
at first he kind of had a holier then thou attitude, but the next couple of times he was actually chilling with the p0oNx and being cool
i think its real cool that Skeeter Thompson (from SCREAM) is subbing in on bass. Dave doesnt forget his roots or his old friends.

Agreed. Dave seems like a pretty down to earth guy, likes good music, and is more than capable of playing music I like but I don't understand this band at all. Boring, bland pop music. No thanks.

^^^^^^ How can you hate that song? Be honest with yourself. Nothing about that song sucks. Even the fact that it is mello does not suck. The song is amazing. The video amusing, corny etc. I liked the song then and like it even more now.
