is all that caught my eye, cheesy to the end and pretty much pisses on everyone who actually did something to deserve a thanks or credit.

liner notes in my cassettes were the ONLY way I discovered new bands. Nobody I knew listened to good music. I think what Jasta's doing is cool.

I was soo tempted to do this and just have them list "Thorp Warriors" just to fuck with everyone here going "Who did that???" but I figure I will put
that $5.00 towards BD's dimes instead. Would have been funny...

Jamie thanked Thorp in a few Hatebreed releases way back when.
Though the idea of taking out an ad for $5 is pretty funny.

this is my last post in here, because it doesn't really warrant anymore time or thought, lol. BUT......
It's not like he is selling "advertising space" or saying "these bands are good". I am sure it's going to be a list of "Thanks to all the people who
made this album possible with donations towards the record: blah blah blah"
(I don't love hatebreed - I did like Jasta 14 better lol)

Paying to be on a thanks list is weak and desperate. That being said if that is how its done between bands then I am really really surprised. I
thought thsoe were for the most part genuine thank you lists.

I don't see how this is any worse than a band/label funding their release of pre-orders.

cause if I pay $10 for a preorder so they can get money to fund the record then I'm getting a copy of the record for my money. In this case, I send
money, the record comes out and then I still have to pay for the CD.

Liner notes were how I discovered a lot of the bands I like.

For one, you don't get a copy of the album when it's released here, which I think is stupid, which means the liner notes will be, "Here's a list of
people who provided the funds to make this album, but they still have to drop $20 to get a copy like the rest of you."
Hudson Falcons asked for money and gave the thanks in the liner notes, but they also sent a copy to anyone who contributed. And I see a big
difference between a band like the Falcons who are, or at least were, on the road for most of the year with low cover charge at the door asking for
monetary support to record a new album and the guy who hosted (hosts?) Headbangers Ball and been in hugely successful bands (and who did or does own
his own label) basically begging for money in exchange for an autographed photo who STILL won't send you a copy of the album you helped cover the
production costs for.
But that's just me.

It's weak and is making me even more annoyed the more I think about it. Thats not what I thought it was all about back in the day. When I bought 7"s
or various cassettes or cd's I always thought check out thank lists for new bands or reps. I never thought they are only listed because of cash. I
thought that shit was out of respect. Way to make something important very, very cheap Jasta. Twist it however ya want it sucks and is weak.

lemme bottom line this for ya...
fewer and fewer people buy music these days.
why? everyone fucking steals it.
so...bands, labels, promoters, everyone involved in what is left of this business is trying whatever they can to not loose their shirt on a release, a
show, a tour, whatever it is.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

To me this is just a sign of how many more steps removed Hatebreed is from being a hardcore band and in the hardcore scene. Jaime may release records
by hardcore bands for hardcore kids, he may kick it with his DMS buddies all the time. But Hatebreed is now a metal band, complete with pyrotechnics
on stage, and this is his current scheme to fund their record and dupe the chumps that think his name has any meaning what so ever.
I'd pay $2 for a signed picture of his hand that has no thumb...
