Activator (NY band) - check this out

a friend of mine put me onto this band and i'm loving it.
a really nice surprise to hear a new band in 2011 that sound fresh but also kinda traditional NYHC.
i can't be arsed to think of a load of bands to compare em to, you can download the EP for free and the songs are all pretty short.

i've no idea who the band are, if they've been in other bands but interestingly this EP was gonna get put out two years by Def Jux (indie hip hop label) but that fell through and Afro Punk put it out digitally.

Hello,

Thanks for the kind words & the exposure. We're no longer associated w/Def Jux although they helped us out for a few years & we're still friends with them.

Our facebook page is here, it has the most up to date info on Activator - we're currently in the middle of recording a full-length, please add us if you can:

Thanks,

Jared
