Thoughts on NORWAY...
Growing up as a teen in the late 80's Hardcore scene in NYC, many of us were so called "Nationalists". For us it meant we loved our country, we were
proud Americans and would fight and die for the USA. A sentiment that was rampant with many bands and kids alike at the time.
I am quite certain killing innocent children was never on our agenda as "Nationalists".
So this piece of human garbage is no "Nationalist".
He is a coward and deserves severe punishment.
But with Norway's fantastic legal system (sarcasm), maybe he will be out in 10 years with weekends off???
My sincere sympathies to all Norwegians.

A single murder charge is 21 years maximum. He's done over 90 murders so that's over 1800 years prison. I don't see how he wouldn't server more than
21 years for multiple counts.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

He is supposedly an extreme right wing verses the coutnry of Norway being very very liberal. I agree with Mike we have no comparison to that type of
"nationalist" mentality and there ideals differ from American ideals for sure. In fact more Police in Norway don't even carry hanguns, because the
people feel they "threaten too much". It's extreme left wing.
I don't care about the ideals of a murdering "nationalist". Innocence was taken from those people and they need justice.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Most countries Police don't carry guns, and it's not considered a result of left wing politics. That's a whole different debate.
In anycase this guy lost the right to have any poltical view as a justification as soon as he killed his first victim.

i thought the UK was the only place that didn't carry guns.
we do have 'armed response units' now anyways as it's really not that difficult to get guns here if you know where to look.
if you ever come to London and see the red police cars and vans - those are the guys with guns. all the others just carry cs gas, extendable batons
and in some cases tazers but that's still a grey area i think.

^^^^^ Then what is it about? Why else would a Cop not carry a gun unless the public is out of its mind and feel threatened because of some left wing
ideology? It makes no sense to me to have a cop without a gun. Why even show up to a domestic violence call which is most Law Enforcement calls
without one?

^^^^^^^Gun crazy America? Because Law Enforcement are armed? Na, man that is protection from the criminal elements while defending the rights of the
law abiding public.

It's not necessarily my opinion, just fact. Most people in Europe for example, bar a few countries like Switzerland, don't have guns. So if the
police come to a domestic violence call they don't need to bring guns, they have non-lethal weapons with them, batons etc. I don't think there is any
left wing ideologies involved. Just no need for them to be armed. Remember people over here in Europe aren't used to seeing guns in every day
circumstances, and not everybody trusts the police, so some people would feel uncomfortable if the police were armed.
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you, just trying to explain.

dude, not picking an argument or anything but as i said above, i don't know of any other country in Europe where the police don't carry guns except
the UK, and some of our police DO carry guns.
whenever we get bomb/terror threats (which is quite often) it's not unusual to see cops in body armour with machine guns walking around.

Just watch Bowling for Columbine and it will explain the gun thing. It's entertainment first but it does offer some startling facts in the course of
its presentation.
Evidently this guy in Norway was trying to protect the country from being overrun by Islam. He blew up the bomb and shot the kids to get media
attention for his cause. Mission accomplished cuz people all over the world are talking about it.
Nationalism is an absurd and out of date concept in the global era. World War 2 Germany was big on nationalism. We all know how that went.

Regular police in Europe don't carry guns. Most Euro countries have a two tiered system, with the regular rozzers not armed, and various elite or
special units which are armed. France, Italy etc have this system. Irish police aren't armed. There are specialist armed units that can be called
out. Not arguing that this is a good or bad thing. Just a difference between say US and Europe or Russia, or China etc.

never been to Ireland so can't say about that really but every time i see police abroad, they have handguns. i honestly can't remember not ever seeing
cops with guns abroad.
it's one of those things that reminds me i'm not at home anymore.
i guess i may have just seen these elite forces but i dunno.
i remember being in Greece and our apartment was next to the local police station. every night we watched them playing cards, smoking cigars and
drinking ouzo with their handguns on the table.

murdering children.

That's pretty odd, Greece and most of Cyprus, I would guess 80% of the police force do not carry guns as standard but then I am going from experience
a good few years back there so that may have changed.
As far as I was aware Holland, Germany and places like that it's rather uncommon to see armed police although I will say Spain is somewhere I have
seen it a lot.
In England the only place you will standardly see armed police is at the aiport, around government buildings or at Matty said if there has been some
sort of bomb scare or national threat then they will sometimes have them patrol for a limited period of time but even then I wouldn't say that would
be particularly common outside of London.
