Where to stay for posi #s?
I'm having trouble deciding... I'm 34 and hang out with much younger people but sometimes I'm just not amused or just want to go to bed. Last year I
only went for one night and sponged off of friends at the Red Roof. It was insane. It was partly fun and partly idiotic and I had to get up at 7 to
get to NY for my brother's birthday and drive on almost no sleep.
My original idea this year was to have a quiet little sanctuary for myself, so that I could escape when I wanted to and get some good sleep, in a
non-hangout hotel. Maybe with a pool and a gym. But I'm looking now and those types of places are almost double the price, and I know I'll be
hanging out a good amount, so it will be a hassle if my hotel is far away from the other ones.
Should I just get my own room at the party hotel and bring fan to drown out the noise when I get cranky and want to sleep?

you should find a nice B&B to stay at. that would be hilarious.

i'm not really sure what to tell you. i'm young and i still don't want to be in all of the hanging out all the time. i would love to actually sleep
while i am down there. not a lot, but i need a few hours because of medical crap. beggers can't be chosers though, i'm doing the hotel floor crashing
thing. i'm not even buying my own room because i am taking a bus and a hotel room is too much cash. so i'll be happy with whatever i get.
that said, if you know anyone who wants two girls who aren't shitty to sleep on their floors and probably use their showers, let me know haha

Not that I can find. Walk all night still owes me a few records from fuck knows when and they never update their website. The guy who runs that
label is the one who puts on Posi Numbers Fest from what I understand.

well, i'm not officially promising space in my room until the day of, b/c alot of my friends are going down with no intention of booking a room, and i
need to preserve the whole sanctuary idea, but it's a possibility if you are stuck. shower, definitely. we should trade contact info before then.

you're waiting on that Think I Care record i think you should have it by now..or very soon.
Last year i fell asleep right after day two and wasn't fucked with at all so it shouldn't be so bad for you guys who want to avoid partying all night.

Thanks for the link. I'll check that out. As for WAN... I hope I get the records soon. I ordered the Think I Care, Cold War (I think) and Final
Word records. If I never get them... fine. I just wont order from them anymore.

The nucleus of the COS is roughly Jarrod, Jimmy, Jason Curran, Rory, Joehawk, and Pearse, but almost all are welcome. Basic tenets, that I know of:
-Drink outside and revel in the irony of seeing little to none of the show
-Sit in lawn chairs or on car bumpers engaging in GZ-style repartee that ranges from the awesome and hilarious to catty-gossipy (for some)
-In no way even think about arranging accomodations
-Welcome very questionable strangers either from Wilkes-Barre or attending the fest into the circle, to amuse you with quasi-racism or other taboo
unethicals. Either they turn out to be cooler than you thought or you tire of them and hope they go away and stop drinking your beer
-Enjoy a trunkful of snacks lovingly provided by Mrs. Curran, even though she does not attend
-Tear it up at the Red Roof: Modeling of female xFilesx booty shorts by otherwise naked males optional
-Sleep only the bare amount necessitated by very excessive alcohol consumption
You can see little of this would be me. But it's fun to go along for the ride between bands I like and in the off hours.
