Black Sabbath

This board is in serious lack of Sabbath talk.

I can't even imagine listening to Master of Reality when it came out and trying to wrap my head around what was going on compared to everything else in existence.

How perfect of a cover was After Forever for Biohazard?

Nativity In Black 1 & 2.

The Biohazard cover is great! Sepultura doing Symptoms of the Universe and 1000 Homo DJs doing Supernaut are 2 of my favorites and Type O Negative doing Black Sabbath is cool too.

I have some weird underground tribute that came out slightly after NIB 1, that had Cannibal Corpse w/ Chris Barnes doing Zero the Hero which was kind of awesome.

I listen to Supernaut during every workout. That song is so fucking good. Vol. 4 is amazing but nothing has anything on Paranoid. That record was the gateway for me into all heavy music. Iron Man was the hook that got me.

War Pigs still speaks true today.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Vol. 4 is criminally underrated.

First 4 albums and Heaven and Hell are all flawless. The rest are only just excellent...except maybe the Tony Martin stuff. Even Born Again is great with Ian Gillan...it was like getting a super rare cross pollination of Sabbath and Deep Purple...

Planet Caravan is gargbage to me. Other then that, Paranoid leaves me speechless. I saw a 1 hour show on VH1 Classic on making of the album. I was practically erect.
