I am so out of it. I have no idea what any of those things are that you have enjoyed today.

Being an "Edger" I'm about to suck down a vanilla whey protein shake then take on a giant 32 oz cup of sugar free grape kool aid mixed with raspberry Emergen C. Yep, really dangerous shit :tumble:

Red wine. That's right I am a wine snob and I love it. It was a 98 Merlot and happened to be the the last known bottle of that particular wine in existence. It was breathtaking.

Jameson. Store by my house house has bottles of Jameson that are about the same size as a regular beer bottle. Hits the spot.

Had a Honey Ace, an Ephemere, a Young's Double Chocolate Stout, a Lucky Buddha, more than a few cheap beers, a few shots of I have no idea what, and topped it all off with a fight with some Green Berets. Good times.

I drank an overpriced can of Greek Beer at a Greek Festival.....

The can was green, and i already forget the name.

aside from that I am slumming it with a case of Warsteiner in cans.

wasn't really sure where/why to post this but it's beer related so thought some of you might find it interesting on some level.

the main reason i'm posting it though is because this clip features a brief interview with one of my boys who played in a hardcore band for a while. He's the guy with the impressive moustache working in the actual brewery near the start.

1. that chap has grown quite a respectable mustache.
2. dear scottish people, i don;t know what you're saying
3. sounds like a great opportunity for smaller breweries to start their own festivals and organizations

victory's newest - otto ale - is out today.
i love a smoked ale and will be stopping by tomorrow to grab some.

http://victorybeer.com/news/otto-october-15/

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – On October 15, beer enthusiasts will have a new reason to celebrate. Victory Otto Ale, a new Belgian-style, bottle conditioned dubbel ale from Victory Brewing Company, will be available in 750 ml corked bottles.

Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet, Victory co-founders, developed the recipe for the new smoked malt dubbel based on their experience with the style during a trip they took to Bamberg, Germany in 1987. In order to create a deliciously palatable smoked beer, Bill and Ron decided to combine the sometimes-overpowering qualities of the smoky rauch style with Belgian caramel malt, which yields a perfectly harmonized final flavor.

“The complimentary flavors of smoked malt and Belgian yeast seemed like an obvious combination,” said Bill. “As far as we know, no one has bothered to put them together until now.”

Victory Otto Ale is made up of smoked, Munich and Belgian caramel malt, German hops and Trappist yeast. Alcohol by volume is 8.1%.

^^^ BOLTHOUSE UNITE! If they can tame the sweetness of some of them they would be perfect.
