Also, anyone know where to get the plastic crates that hold 7"s? I got some at a dollar store, but the records stick out of the top. I wanted the ones that are tall enough so the record is below the top so they can be stacked.

Honus not sure what they have by you but we have a craft store called Michaels out here that has these wooden crates with handles that hold 2 rows of 7" next to each other...maybe like 2 rows of 100, and they're below the top of the crates, something like that may be an option. Looks a lot more "grown up" than having plastic crates sitting around your place too.

this is true, i'd get the shorter boxes tho. they store on shelves nicer, and they are stackable.
