So what do you guys think about this. New album? How do you think that will turn out?

I think the album will be decent to good, but not awesome. I dont think that Rick Ruben will let them fuck it up to bad. As for the reunion, I'm into
it. I've never seen them and will do all I can to not miss them this time.

Can't be any worse than Lulu right?
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Not one of those people, not even Youngs overrated ass is fit to tune Iommi's guitar.
That being said...they will probably still write an album full of mediocre songs not fit for the legacy.

The last truly great Iommi riff album was Dehumanizer.

The album will not have any of the vibe of the originals. No chance. It will be too polished and "sonic". Nothing raw on the release. I will buy it
though. Black Sabbath was the second band I ever got into. KISS was first. Black Sabbath BLOWS KISS away. I listen to them weekly. Black Sabbath was
my gateway into harder music.

This is disappointing but my sources tell me that Bill was trying to get more than his fair 25% share. That's just insane.

I would say more likely that Ozzy and Sharron wanted to not give him a fair share... who knows though.

How could he want more than 25%? That doesn't make any sense. I cant see how the band would not come out and call him out on something like that
publicly to make themselves not seem like assholes and put the onus on him, squashing any rumors.
Sounds like there's more to it then that.

I got a friend that works for a big metal label and management company and he always gives me info before it breaks. Like bands signing... who will be
on what festivals and whatnot. He said that Iommi and Ozzy were trying to take the high road on this one because Bill is kind of losing his marbles.
The band could still say it publicly if it's true but if he's really going soft in the brain and they consider him a friend then they may not want to
state that publicly.
Seriously though.... Bill Ward isn't healthy. They probably would have had a session drummer on the record anyway and none of us ever would have
known. We all would have thought it was the 4 original guys on the album. That sort of shit happens all the time in "the business" and it just doesn't
get written in the liner notes.

Well it does makes sense if he's cuckoo.
I don't think Sabbath would have been Sabbath w/o Ward but at this point they're not going to be reinventing anything so it doesn't really matter.

It sounds to me like they're already doing the record without him. You record drums first so it sounds like someone else was gonna play and he was
gonna do the tour.

All this Bill Ward nonsense and people all of the sudden caring about him after the 70 reunions they've done w/o him is turning me off of this whole
project.
Every 3rd post on facebook is something about Bill Ward. Is he a great drummer, yes...is he an essential part of the rhythm section that made Black
Sabbath what it was, sure...but is he the missing link in another "classic" Sabbath album...probably not.
I'm really interested in seeing what Rick Rubin can get out of these guys...if the whole thing doesn't implode with Iommis illness...but jesus
already.
The new Pallbearer album is going to be better at doing Sabbath-ian doom than Sabbath can ever dream of if the devil himself was spinning the
knobs...and that will go under the radar while people whine on facebook about a 70 year old drummer being the missing link to the vegas lounge act
version of the greatest metal band of all time.

If you dig the doom, check this out. Sabbath will not be this good, no matter who'd producing...streaming in it's entirety, the new Pallbearer:

I'm definitely going to listen to this Pallbearer stream, but I saw a link on that page for a stream of the new Sinead O'Connor album and I'm
DEFINITELY listening to that first.
(Consider this thread officially hijacked....NOW!)
