The Barbary has two floors - the show's downstairs, guessing the bar will be open upstairs. Quinn might know somewhere else nearby to meet up. Oh,
and there's a casino across the street!
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
I will be there with a handful of old friends. Thorp knows these guys kinda....Volpe etc.....DH goons.....sleepy from the JC show will be with
us...he's much fatter now.
There is a bar called HandleBar up the street a block, which is where I'd like to be prior to ST going on.
I know the Barbary bar will be packed and hot as hell.
I took the Monday after off for recovery.
Last ST show I was at, lost my voice and my body hurt for a week.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
- Paul Morris, music director at 97.7 HTZ-FM
a week later and my voice is still gravelly from yelling all night.
the only "show" I went to in 2011.
as long as Paul continues to do it, I will be there yelling like a dope up front getting kicked in the dome.
Something is to be said about the fact that at 37 I still love this band as much as I did 20 years ago when I was 17, maybe even more so.
And not for nothing, thank friggin god Paul talks so much between songs cuz it gives out of shape guys like me a minute to catch my breath / heartrate
get back down to normal....
