SHEER TERROR UK WINTER WEEKEND PISS-UP!

Every ti me ST was supposed to play the UK,it fell through for a bevy of reasons. This is FINALLY happening, and we are VERY excited about it. The last weekend of January will help bring, not a closure, but a tie to everything that I grew up on. Over 30 years,Punk.30 years,Skinhead. ALWAYS,HARDCORE! I'm not going to lie,and say that a bit of the Anglophile in me isn't so sorted in having so many of my childhood hero's finally see me do what I do on their manor!!! I am!! Bringing my dear friend,Ziggy, with me to document the trip. D'ya think me traveling with a black guy will dispel any rumors? Probably, not! We're gonna have a friggin' great time, and spite all you fucks!! 'Want a proper fry-up for breakfast,a REAL pie & mash in a working man's caff,Samuel Smith's Imperial Ale on TAP (that might be not as easy as it sounds),and the cutest, most that's a bit of alright Skin byrd to fall in love with me...

I expect a lot.

Will learn to Tap Dance,eventually...Will have you broads Hula,definitely...Trust me,you'll see.

Sometimes drunk is the only way to take on the internet.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

My band Injury Time is playing the London show with you guys.
Knuckledust too. It will be messy.

I can't think of a Samuel Smiths pub near the Underworld but you're only down the road from Soho where there's a few dotted about.
There IS however a Brewdog bar that just opened around the corner from the Underworld.

Incidentally, The Underworld (the venue you guys are playing) is just up the road from where ST was supposed to play many years ago at the Camden Palace (which is now called Koko).

I'd love to go to England. I was there but only for about 1/2 a day a few years ago.

If you asking about the dates mean you are even slightly contemplating trying to come over, I would be extremely happy!

Was at the gig in Leeds last night and it was great. Not the best turnout in the world (under 100 by the look of it) but the boys put on a good show. Put it this way, I had about 4.5 hours drive each way and it was totally worth it to see ST at last.

BTW haven't posted on here in ages, good to see most of the familiar old names are still around.

welcome back, sinister. thanks for letting us know about the show. 4.5 hour drive seems completely reasonable for sheer terror!

i only saw the Deathskulls and Sheer Terror.
The Deathskulls smashed it but as they went on a few minutes after the doors opened, not many people saw them. To this day, I simply do not get why they aren't huge. They are, for me, the perfect mix of hardcore and punk.

I missed 33.

Injury Time set sounded ok from the stage. This was one of maybe two shows I've ever played in the last ten years or so where we actually people right up against the front of the stage and not in some 'fuck you horseshoe' with everyone clinging to the walls.

Stupidly missed Knuckledust as I was busy catching up with various people I hadn't seen in years. By the time I went to check them they'd finished.
I heard they went down a total storm though.

Sheer Terror were totally on point. There was a great vibe on stage and in the crowd. Played everything I wanted to hear. I was so excited during A Tale of Moran I can only laugh when I think about what I must have looked like haha!

A truly great night indeed.
