wow...I'm REALLY surprised they have Daisy Cutter. That's probably the best Pale Ale on earth. A fresh can of that is next to heaven. Wasn't even aware that made it out of Chicago.

I'm going early so I can enjoy my beers.

Half Acre is a brewery on the north side that basically has a 12x12 storefront you can walk into w/ 4 tap handles sticking out of the walls for growler fills, a rack of t-shirts and a small stand up cooled w/ 6 packs and 22oz’s.

They primarily can their “regular” stuff in the large pint cans or whatever they are and their more limited 22oz bottle productions usually have a line down the block before opening and sell out on the day of their release. Lots of hype, but they rarely miss and their distribution sucks. You can only get it at the brewery or in select city and NW burb liquor stores…I’m like 35 minutes SW of the city and I’d have to drive to the brewery to get it.

in the last couple years there have been some great bottle shops that have opened. A couple of them even have 4 or 5 taps and its usually really hard to get stuff. I gotta admit I am a total sucker for being able to drink beer while i shop for beer

Wow... I take some pride in drinking a variety of good beer but a lot of these I have never heard of. Had a Delirium Noel and a New Belgium Cocoa Mole tonight.

sadly, i don't think i'll be able to get over until lunch tomorrow. hoping they still have the winter solstice, the duck rabbit porter and the daisy cutter. next on the list is the Double Trouble (even thought I don't care for IPAs) and the breakfast stout (which I've had before)

The Double Trouble is a double IPA...very hoppy but not just a hop bomb. One of the better of it's style WHEN fresh.

Is there any way I could get you to send me a bottle of this? I really like everything I've had from Ska Brewery but its pretty hard to come by down here.

I've been into Russian Imperial Stouts lately.
Great for these cold winter months (although this winter in the Philadelphia area has been relatively mild compared to recent winters)
