Not Irish, or at least not enough Irish ancestry for it to matter, but did party and had some fun last night.

Cleaned out and organized my shed. Hung with my wife and son. We had a fire in the fire pit and I drank GREAT LAKES seasonal Conway's Irish ale. Ordered Thai takeout. Beautiful weather I might add. Especially for Ohio.

Filled in on drums for the Gobshites on Thursday and Friday. We had plans to pub hop a little to see some bands, but ended up staying in and watching Buffy. Slainte!

As I was driving back from a martial arts class in Cinnaminson NJ on 676 through Philly I saw all the douche college kids wearing green and scally caps and right then and there I vowed to pay no heed to St Patrick's Day. I wore no green, and damn near didn't wear my cap(which I wear every goddamn day). My only consolation was when I drove out to Su Tao for vegan Chinese in Malvern and they were having a special St Paddy's all-you-can-eat buffet. I got my grub on and plenty of greens(leafy ones I mean).

March 17th is my girlfriends birthday. It's hard to find a place to go that is not full of douchey college kids. We got lucky this year because Swingin Utters was playing in San Francisco so all her friends met up with us there. Great show and the drinks were flowing. Hurting today.

Mine was amazing. Woke up early on Saturday morning and got in the car with my wife and daughter. We went to my parents and spent the day hanging out, rocking traditional rebel songs and enjoying the amazing weather. My parents took care of my daughter while the wife and I enjoyed our second night out together with a group of friends since she was born. It was at my buddies bar and they had a DKM cover band playing that were absolutely amazing. Could have sworn I was watching the Murphys for real. Drank my face off, got up the next day and spent the day chilling with the family and returned home around 5pm.

We always make a deal out of St. Patricks Day in my family. We are Irish to the core, but it's really just a good excuse to get to together with family and friends and have some laughs.

BKT.

My wife was working so I slept in late and then did some chores. There there was a Drinking Made Easy marathon on HDNet so I watched a bunch of that. Nothing else, really. I had one beer and then went to bed.

We played a show in Miami so I was sober for most of it because we went on at about 1:00 am, but after I caught up. It was sponored by Bushmills so there was a bottle of Black Bush in our room. I got all caught up pretty quickly!

same here....I live in a college town & hate anything hyped up by the people who go there. & even though I love the Pogues, I had no inclination whatsoever to listen to them, & I would be fine if I never had to hear Flogging Molly ever again, & most Dropkick songs I can do without anymore. I just treated it as a really nice sunny day (it snowed yesterday out of nowhere) I had off from work to drink beer in the backyard with my friends. I just can't stand the American "Irish for a day" thing & the excuse for people to act like idiots & blame it on wherever their great great grandpa on whoever's side immigrated from
