Yeah I'm sure there's some breweries using inferior cans. Anything I've had from Half Acre (they only do cans and 22's) has been fine also.

Last night I enjoyed some Guinness and a fair amount of Alexander Keith's IPA. Good beers, but my ass is burning today.

I have grown quite fond of cream ales, and more so beers where put on the Nitro line......Bellhaven Scottish ale is excellent on Nitro, so are certain stouts.
so happy to have a killer bar in walking distance these days.

It's when you use nitrogen as the gas to push the beer through the lines instead of CO2. It works for some beers like stouts, you wouldn't want just any beer with nitrogen. It's a bit smoother. Guiness is a good example of a beer that uses it.

I went to the World of Beer Festival in Raleigh yesterday. One of the better ones was the Legend IPA dry hopped with Citra Hops.

Had one of these yesterdays while brewing a RyePA with on of my buddies. Also had a homebrew Double IPA we brewed a couple weeks ago, and one of our Tarragon ESB's which will hopefully win a competition at Fullsteam Brewery in two weeks.

Also had some of these
New Holland Rye Hatter Rye PA

Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Fresh Hop

Avery the Maharaja -

Love they have a bunch of beers called the Dictator Series, wish i could find some of the Kaiser an Imperial Oktoberfest that is one of the best beers i had

Also had the Scheider-Brooklyner collaboration Hopfen Weisse, gonna have to take a shot at making one fo these soon

Is that your first time with that D? Stuff is amazing...almost smells better than it tastes though. Grabbed a bottle to share with my Mom on Turkey Day as shes into that kind of beer. You should have it on draft...double fuck.

Their Choc stout Chocolat is amazing too...one glass rich type of beer but that one glass is worth it.

two nights ago i had it on tap at this bar in brooklyn for the first time. i was surprised that, for all the falvor, i wasn;t overwhelmed. you know how with some high alcohol beers - tripples, quads, barleywines - can just CAN'T drink more than one? i had three that night and was fine with it.

i'm back in that bar tonight. started with two anderson valley barney flats oatmeal stouts - which were very good. barkeep poured a creme brule for someone else and the scent of the beer took over the whole fucking bar like a yankee fucking candle. so...i'm back with another one on tap tonight. powerful, but really good.

It doesn't make any sense to me either. I really all but quit "drinking" for the past 18 months or so. I'll have a beer with dinner on occasion or two MAX if I go out after work with a couple guys...but the past couple times I drank one I felt like crap afterwards. Who am I?

sometimes you just need to switch to bourbon or scotch for a while
