I remember skateboarding all day when I was younger, rolling back to my buddies house watching the Plan B "Questionable" video and then jamming "Time
For Livin". We did that day in and day out, We would play that tune non stop. Drove my buddies parents nuts, but they were cool with it.
Its weird to lose a guy like this. I did not know him personally, but so many of my best times in life revolve around his music. Rest In Power MCA.
Paul's Boutique will forever be the most underrated album of all time in my opinion. When I was 11-16, I mowed lawns to pay for hockey. I spent a
whole summer in 91-92 listening to this cassette. It was orange. Literally, all day behind the mower sweating my ass off.
At night we'd jam the Beasties, Slayer or Sepultura and drink Cisco. Life was way more simple and the Beastie Boys will always have a very special
place with me. There is a picture of MCA on MSNBC.com today smiling while looking at a little girl. I can only assume it is his daughter. Seriously
brought a tear to my eye. He and the rest of the BB's seem like just all around fun and nice dudes.

Reading that made me tear up.
Paul's Boutique is amazing. "The Sounds Of Science" is still one of my favourite songs along with "Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun".

Wore out my License to Ill dubbed tape, then got another and wore that out, and another, and when that one wore out too I got it on CD.
Stopped really listening once Hello Nasty came out, couldn't get into it any more. Still love the older stuff though. I wore out my Check Your Head
shirt, holes and thin as paper, lasted a solid 10+ years before it had to be trashed.
Aglio E Olio on vinyl was a good one too, listening to it was always fun.
RIP someone who actually did good for music and the world, unlike these other wasted fucks who did nothing and get immortalized.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Hello Nasty is rad. They did this awesome add campaign for it too where they acted as if they were a cable access channel with all these skits and
shit. If I find it I'll link it. I pre-ordered the cd it just because of that add campaign.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
