"Spitshiner is what a street punk band would have sounded like if they'd gotten together in 1895. Traditional instruments played with all the intensity of the Street Dogs, Bouncing Souls, and Sham 69, with lyrics to match. The band consists of seasoned veterans of the Boston punk rock scene who have played in and currently play in bands such as The Snipes, Beantown Boozehounds, Taxi Driver, The Gobshites, Suckerpunch, and Yesterday's Heroes. Their songs are a testament to living day to day in an unforgiving city, heartache, youthful rebellion, and better days gone by. Belted out by a lineup that includes Josh Ayola (Vocals/ Guitar), Chad Gilligan (Guitar/ Vocals), Mike Dominguez (Guitar/ Vocals), Jenna Bantjes (Violin/ Piano/ Vocals), Kevin Gallant (Lap Steel), and John Curtin (Mandolin/ Vocals). Drawing from diverse musical influences ranging from punk rock, to country, to folk, to blues, to good old fashioned hell raising barroom rock, Spitshiner is bare-knuckle acoustic rock and roll."

How are you a member on this board and you post nothing about this. Please post some links to tunes. It sounds like something we would dig. Congrats on the bands you guys have going on.

^^^ Excuses, excuses. :P

Shit, I bought a guitar and shopping for an amp and I'm bragging about it. You guys have several bands going on and say nothing.

Yeah I was surprised I knew nothing about it. And I know all the people in the band lol.

Oh well, guess I haven't been paying attention.

Yup, I was waiting until there was really more to tell. We've only just started solidifying the lineup, and still looking for a couple pieces to round it all out. Hell, we only just decided on the name after learning that the one we were going to use was already being used by more than one band. We really want to just get our songs down and solid before we really start promoting it, but the fact that we're booked for the tattoo convention is friggin' awesome. If any of you are hooked up wit Myke Chambers in Philly, please put in a good word for me because he'll be at the convention too. I would love to get some ink from him.

If anyone's in the area, we're playing a couple tunes at Bull McCabe's in Somerville tomorrow night. We're still not quite a full lineup, but it'll be cool to see how some of this stuff does in front of an audience.

So BD, how's the logo coming along?

:tumble:
