Wow, they are having a rough go at it now a days I guess. Dickhead moment in the video is when Flea says in so many words "they must suffer for there art to get better. They are artists and they must suffer for it." Speaking of how bad things are for them now. Pretty funny coming from someone who ripped them off and reaped the rewards huge for years.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

i saw them a number of times, but haven't really given them much of a thought in forever. late 80s and early 90s, truth and soul was on pretty regular rotation.

Saw them at the Orpheum in Boston right after "Reality of My Surroundings" came out. Great show, but at one point one of them got on the mic between songs and shouted "Any y'all racist motherfuckers the the fuck out now!" All I could think for the rest of the show was "What in the world would a racist be doing here in the first place?"

File under: "Great Moments in Things that Didn't Really Need to Be Said."

Every time I hear their name the first thing that pops into my head is that movie Back to the Beach.
