Do you use a toaster oven or toaster to make toast?

My wife and I had a huge fight about this. I was raised by the toaster. Put the toast in the 2 slats and push the lever down. In 1 minute you have toast. She on the other hand ONLY uses toaster ovens. I hate ours. I'm sure it sucks a shitload of electricity just to make toast and it takes forever to make. Not only that I can't tell you how many pieces of bread I burn using it. Sure they are great for making or heating up things like other foods but I WANT A TOASTER TOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I only have a toaster oven b/c of the versatility but it does suck up lots of juice!

I was using it alot then went on a fast. My whole electric bill went down by about 25% just by not using it for two weeks.

Toaster ovens take up too much counter space for the amount of use they get.

I'm gonna go make some frozen waffles in my toaster now.

toasters are where it is at. toaster ovens are for making tuna melts and shit like that. although, i once lived in an apartment in manhattan that didn't have an oven at all (four burner range, yes. washer and dryer, yes. oven, no. fuckin' new york) so we got a convectional oven, which i kinda like a robust, glorified toaster oven.

and as a side note, i haven't had a microwave in over a decade. no room in the city, and frankly, no real need.

Me neither. Once I set up my kitchen there was no room. It just means more dishes to do from using pots and you have to get creative about thawing things out or planning ahead.

Toaster.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I have a toaster oven. I grew up on toasters and I cant say that I really liked it. My stuff always got caught in the slats and I could never get them out. Ive been converted.

As for Duane's comment about no room for a microwave... well, I didnt have enough counter space for one when I first moved in to my apartment so the Mrs. and I searched around and found a bedroom dresser that doesnt look too much like a dresser and put that in the kitchen. It extends our counter space and we've got a place for our microwave. I couldnt live without one.

This is the $200 toaster we got as a wedding present. It's shit; we never use it. A $19 Proctor-Silex is all ya need.

this is a toaster oven. it works like a mini oven, in that you can cook things at specific temperatures.
