any Car Talk fans?
I only started listening to this show a few years ago. it happened to be on during the drive to the kids' swim lessons. i never would have thought
a show about car repairs could be so g-d entertaining.

My dude Matt is a part of the Cleveland Rumblers chapter. Though I think he is now doing the N.C. Rumblers though as he moved over a month ago and
they expanded to N.C. I don't know shit about cars but would be into it if I had the money for sure. Seems like a great way to burn time. Working on
your own hot rod.

it never hurts to know more about your car, especially when it comes to analyzing a problem.
my mechanic and I can speak to one another as peers most of the time as I am pretty familiar with the technical stuff involved, so it's not like he is
explaining it to some housewife. it also keeps you from getting swindled if you are dealing with someone you don't know.
A lot of dealer shops try and sell unnecessary services.
Never let someone flush your motor.
Shops like Pep Boys and oil change places will try and sell you this crap, but any seasoned mechanic will tell you no way in hell.
A motor contains all kinds of one way valves that it could fuck up.
I used to love tearing cars apart, now I would just rather drop it off, have a pro do it and go grab a coffee.

I used to listen to car talk with my dad growing up, and I try to catch it when it's on. It's sad to see the show end.

I'll miss Click and Clack for sure. Love that show. I learn some things here and there too.
They are great in Cars.
Ever see the cartoon show they had on PBS based on the fictional exploits of them and their employees at their garage?
