His Facebook updates are a little whacked out, but this shit is off the charts.

Ironically, his second to last post:

It's just amazing people still give any shit about this dude or the 500th incarnation of this band.
to all of it, start a new band, write new songs, grow old and
smarten up.
Just let the band fucking die already.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Jon Joseph was just on theBryan Callen Show a few days ago and alluded to Harley still being a nutjob.

Maybe they wouldn't let Harley in for free.
Joking aside, I love the Cro-Mags (other than that horrific Near Death Experience album), but I really wish they would leave it all in the past and
move on.

Advice I'd love to see them take.

I think John's on a mission ane it's his contention that he brought in the Krshna stuff. Which he's still about. At least he has the class not to
write new songs and put it out as Cro-Mags. They only play AOQ and some Bad Brains covers.
Harley wouldn't do shit with it as a vehicle for any kind of message. Which is precisely what JJ is doing with it.
Also, I want more Bloodclot! songs.

http://exclaim.ca/News/cro-mags_harley_flanagan_claims_self-... Harley claims self defense
Yup, I showed up to a concert I probably shouldn't have been at, carrying a knife on me, then forced my way into a dressing room I definitely should
not have been in and had to defend myself from a malicious group of attackers who sprung upon me with no provocation what soever.

lol retard.
Paulie's post about the fund for Mike on Facebook was great, and the response to some dude asking about the Harley defence fund.

Listen, I know John. Im not going to say im his mate or whatever. But we have hung out a few times and talked about whatever. Whatever violence was in
his life, I think hes over it. Dude just wants to cycle and eat green shit. Hes happy being on stage and doing his thing.
I've never met Harley, I can only go by what im told and what I see of him online. Dudes fucking mental in my eyes. He doesnt seem to be all there in
the head.
Again, this is all from a casual outsider to this whole cro mags thing. in an ideal world, yeah, would be great if they ever got together and made
music. BUT, im thinking thats the end of it now.

I like how he is plugging his own movie by the third paragraph.
"It's true that at the CBGB Festival screening of American Hardcore earlier that day Flanagan was irked by his former band's snub of his offer to do a
song together that night, but that makes sense."

The movie thing seems relevant. It explains how Harley got a press pass. John Joseph already mentioned that he warned the club not to let Harley in
and that he ended up getting the press pass that gave him unlimited access to the venue.
Still not clear to me how any of the explanation explains taking a knife to a show without the belief that you may need to stab a motherfucker though.
