Sheer Terror's "Just Can't Hate Enough" LP was recorded at CBGB's?
according to RevHQ weekly email:
Quote: | A lot of bands have recorded their live shows and had them released as live albums, but it's sort of rare for a band to use a live music venue as a
recording studio for a standard release. It has happened though, and here are the ones we could recall:
Unlike the innumerable bands who have released a "Live At CBGB's" record, Sheer Terror's "Just Can't Hate Enough" LP was recorded at CBGB's, sans the
crowd. |
pretty cool if it's true...

yup. in the day time when the club was closed
in fact I believe it says so on the inlay and in the liner notes of Bulldog Edition
clearly, i know too much useless knowledge about this band.....I'm a loser.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Whereas,I was not there during the afternoon recordings (work),it was our cheapest, yet most professional way to do it.It wasn't like Starving Missile
were throwing buckets of money at us! Steve McCalister (DAMAGE/CBGB Soundman) & Tommy Victor ( Prong/CBGB Sound man) were our friends that had the
most technical advice,on the cheap...The basic band tracks were recorded at CB's,and the vocals & leads were done at Baby Monster..I don't
remember/recall that LP costing anything more than three grand to record..But,I may be a little off...But,not by much!
Will learn to Tap Dance,eventually...Will have you broads Hula,definitely...Trust me,you'll see.

I always thought it was a great sounding record!
Also recorded at CBGB's by Tommy Victor of PRONG - ALL's "Trailblazer" lp!!! ( a live record)
I saw Tommy V do sounds many many times from 1988-1990 at Cb's.
